bakit #1 ang saint louis eh 100% ang passing rate ng UP Manila??

Anonymous said...

go slu! we're really no.1! wahooooo!

Anonymous said...

No. 1 po ang St. Louie kasi tinitigana din po kasi ang number of passers. The percentage is not the sole criterion.

Anonymous said...

'Number of passers' is a lame criterion. Kung mas marami ang 50% ng School A na pumasa, over the 100% ng UP Manila na pumasa, school A pa rin ang number 1?

Anonymous said...

e, kaya nga 100% kasi pasado lahat. kaya percentage is a huge factor, if not the sole basis.

Anonymous said...

ilan ba nagtake s up manila?more than 50 ba??basahin mo kaya muna bago k mgreact?

Anonymous said...

Nakalagay kasi 50 or more examinees so hindi tayo included since UP ay less than 50

Anonymous said...

Tignan ang heading! w/ >50 examinees.

Anonymous said...

Go USTe. Congrats to TUGONON, JANINE MARI RAYMUNDO
-Lifebox UST

Anonymous said...

lol. at the UP complainant. di nga pasok ang UP si criteria eh na more than 50 takers eh. haha.

Anonymous said...

they are categorized based on the number of takers not based on the number of passers. kaya nga may more than and less than.......

Anonymous said...

haha galing ng UST parang isang batalyon cla pumasa hahaha... and congrats sa st. Louis for making to the top.. we all did great.. :)

Anonymous said...

Number of takers is a factor to consider, because more or less this is close to the number of graduates a school has, there are top schools that is <50 and >50 examinees.

Why is it important to categorize the number of examinees? It is because, the more students you have, the higher the probability that students will fail, and vise versa, it is a simple statistics...

UST, we should commend them, you could just imagine, more than 200 ang nag take, ang taas ng passing rate? that is a real achievement, ore than 3X than the examinees of SLU.

mokong ka taga UP kb at marunong k bng magbasa?

Anonymous said...

congratulations 2 everyone that took d exam. for d passers, u did great. for those hu failed, don't loose hope.. der r still chances. God bless us ol.
PS: Stop those nonsense will you.

Anonymous said...

hail to all new pharmacists! :)

Anonymous said...

still.. UP manila is the best pharmacy school in the Philippines.. :) 16 ang nakapasa ( FIRST TIMERS ) unlike sa ibang school.. still they had the best record since then..

Anonymous said...

In UP, konti ang pumapasok pero mas konti ang nakakagraduate on time. Kasi ang pinapagraduate ng UP ay yung mga sure na papasa. Why would you let your students graduate if you know they would not pass?

Anyway, the real battle is when you get to work. Excellence in the board exams does not equate to excellence in your work. The real deal is who CAN perform best in the workplace.

GALING NMAN NG FATIMA! RISE TO THE TOP

100% PASSING RATE! TOP 2 PLACER!!!

GO OLFU

Anonymous said...

dapat kac separate ang percentage ng 1st taker sa mga repeaters para bumababa ang rating

Anonymous said...

kung titingnan may point yung high % kaya lang unfair dun sa mataas ang number ng kumuha yung no.1 sa boards may not be a good basis kasi it will disregard yung effort ng ibang examinees from the same school... pero kung sa dami ng pumasa UST I believe has something to brag... pero pansinin nyo di sila nag cocomment.. tayo lang mga taga UP ang di matanggap na may mas magaling sa atin.. yung iba naman seasonal but UST is consistent, ever since... Go USTE... UP-Atenista

Anonymous said...

Congrats to all who passed the board exam!!! galing galing!

Anonymous said...

for your information people!

saint louis university s baguio ay never pa bumaba s 96% ang passing rate.....madalang lang ang pagkakataon na less than 100% ang pumasa.....s kadalasan number one pareho ang SLU at UP magkaiba nga lang ng category...cat: with 20 or more s UP and s SLU eg 50 or more...akala kc ng mga tga manila eh cla na pinaka magagaling while in fact ndi naman..galing probinsiya din mga student ng manila......UP? anu ngaun kung UP..di lahat eh competent para malaman niyo...tumataas lng ang aura dahil daw UP? noon un cguro..ndi na ngaun....peace...

UST proved that eventhough their screening wasn't that strict for incoming pharmacy students, they were able to make a significantly large percentage of these "ordinary" students pass the board exams. Ibig sabihin nagagawa ng UST na gawing magaling ang isang estudyanteng hindi naman talaga magaling sa umpisa, that is the true meaning of a GOOD PHARMACY SCHOOL, accepts real challenges kitang-kita na talagang maganda ang turo sa UST.

Anonymous said...

Let them celebrate their victory. We in UP are very generous to give you slots. Remember the time when we got 16 slots out of Top 20 pharmacy board placers. UP is still the best. It's just luck

Anonymous said...

UST Faculty of Pharmacy already proved its excellence in pharmacy education since 1871 ...it is the BEST PHARMACY school...no doubt why multinational pharmaceutical companies prefer UST graduates than UP..why? because a THOMASIAN PHARMACIST posses these 3 values..compassionate,competence and commitment..while UP graduates dont have these...isa pa...panget ang ugali ng mga UP graduates kaya sa govt lang sila napapapadpad, unlike UST.kitang kita ang galing sa mga multinational pharmaceutical companies,,Hail UST FACULTY OF PHARMACY..PROUD TO BE A THOMASIAN PHARMACIST!!!

Anonymous said...

thank you for the generosity, so parang ang lumalabas mga UP ang nagdidikta kung sinong mga papasa hahaha.
people don't care kahit pa 40 ang spots niyo sa top 20, ang dapat kasi you don't brag about how good you are kasi alam naman na ng mga tao yan, and when everytime you brag about your excellence nagiging mayabang lang ang tingin nila sa inyo, kasi given na yun e. your school already speaks for you, no need to add up by saying numbers numbers numbers. idolo ko ang mga taga-UP, sana naman mapanindigan nila yun.

Anonymous said...

congrats SLU NO.1 pa rin.... GODBLESS

Anonymous said...

CONGRATS SLU STILL NO.1 GODBLESS...

Anonymous said...

And one thing more, UST does not screen students who must take the board exam. ibig sabihin hindi pinagbabawalan ang mga estudyante kahit hindi pa ganoon kagaling bago ang board exam, so with this policy UST posted an 89% passing rate, what more if UST screens students before taking the board exam, no doubt lagi naring 100%, but still the UST-FP is always ready for challenges, it is very important to them to diligently enhance the method of instruction while not compromising the personal choice/preference of students. ayan ang tunay na MATAPANG at may tiwala sa sarili.

I am from UP.. & now currently working.. having read the comments.. hai naku mga iho't iha.. you don't know what you're really fighting or bragging for.. tama na nga yang ayaw.. i believe wala yan sa school.. nasa tao yan.. fine fine fine.. lahat ng school may kanya kanyang galing.. btw..tama nga nmn yung ibang school.. ung obviously taga-UP na ngcomment.. basahin muna mbuti ang lht.. from beginning to end.. bago mgbitiw ng comment ok.. relax.. see.. ngkakamali din ang mga taga UP.. tao kami.. so give us the chance to be one.. don't judge us at once.. going back .. may point nmn ung isang ngcomment.. UP should not brag on the things that were already given.. sa mga ibang schools.. kung na-experience nyo lang sna kung pano igisa ang mga estudyante ng UP.. you might wish na sna pumasok na lng kayo sa ibang school.. dhl kung super top ka nung High School.. there is a very big chance na malamang ordinaryong tao ka na lng pg dating sa UP.. kaya nmn naiintindihan ko kung bakit nggwa mgyabang ng mga UP katulad ko.. dhil yun lang ang pambawi sa lahat ng hirap na kami lang ang nakakaintindi.. so in a way.. give us the freedom.. pero tama.. that does not give us the license to brag what we've gone through..

Anonymous said...

FYI.. after ng graduation.. wala ng pakialam ang UP sa mga estudyante niya kung sino ang pwede at hindi pwedeng magtake.. kumbaga kanya-kanyang kayod.. kanya-kanyang review.. so "UP does NOT screen students who must take the board exam".. it's just that the students have so much respect on their college that's why failing the boards is not an option.. i mean NOT.. its a "pay it forward".. thing.. dun sa comment na "Masama ang ugali" ng mga taga-UP.. pls.. don't do so much generalization!.. siguro may ilan (i can agree to that).. pero wag nyo nmn lahatin.. pls.. in due time.. when you work.. malamang sa malamang my mgging officemate or co-worker kayo na taga UP.. i bet.. you'll say na "Hindi nmn pla lht ng taga UP masama ang ugali".. kaya ngging masama.. it's just because you already have that impression na.. "Naku taga UP.. msma ugali nyan".. as the cliche goes.. "don't judge the book by its cover".. another.. to the person who mentioned that UST are the ones that MPC/MNC prefer.. it's just that UP pipz always have that strong feeling of stepping up if they know that something is not right in the company.. kumbaga.. marunong mag voice out ng kanyang karapatan.. kya nga UP.. may dugong aktibista.. ndi lng basta tanggap ng tanggap.. marunong mghayag ng sarili at may paninindigan.. kaya ayaw nung iba.. mxdong ngmamarunong daw.. which is not.. another thing.. "THOMASIAN PHARMACIST posses these 3 values..compassionate,competence and commitment..while UP graduates dont have these".. you never know what you're saying kid.. watch out.. i beg to disagree with you..

Anonymous said...

hindi nman kasi porke tga-UP ka eh magaling ka na, hindi nman kasi porke UP eh expected mo n n number one ka. mas madami png magaling kesa sainyo, so don't be overconfident!

Anonymous said...

ahahaha. i did not say that UP "screens" students who must take the board exam, what i said is that UST "does not screen" students who must take the board exam. NAPAPARANOID ka na. tama yung nag-comment na taga-UP relax ka lang daw.
Dulot ba yan ng sobrang pagka-gisa sa yo? ahahaha i'm really laughing out loud now!!!
read read read, mind over emotions dapat, kasi once you let your emotions win, you can never win an argument kid. basahin muna nang mabuti ang points ng kalaban dahil baka naman tama pala tapos pinipilit mong gawing mali. and answer back calmly kid, we're not fighting here we're just sharing opinions FYI. wag masyadong seryoso sa buhay. ahahahahahahaha

Anonymous said...

ay ako rin agree ako sayo taga-UP na hindi nga naman tama yung sinabi ng taga-UST na UP students don't have the 3C's compassion, competence and commitment. ahahaha, oist taga-UST na nag-comment ano ka ba, ang gaganda na nga ng mga points na sinasabi ko dito tapos ikaw naman....hmmp. mind over emotions nga e! think first before posting anything. mind over emotions, walang premyo dito ang kung sino ang mas mataas ang BP.

Thomasian here. Hinay-hinay lang po mga kapwa ko Tomasino.

'Di nakakatulong 'yan sa imahe ng ating pamantasan. Mas mabuting maging mapagkumbaba. Kaso, ayan na, eh. Mmm. Sa susunod, ha.

Congratulations sa mga pumasa! ;) God bless everyone always.

The dumbass from UST and the asshole from UP are hilarious. These are simply results, dudes! Figures. Chill.

Hey dubass from UST. Who the hell said UP students don't possess your highly-esteemed 3 C's? UP students are not only possibly the best students in the country, a lot of them are also compassionate and kind. You just don't see that, dude, 'coz all you think about is UP and its students pride. Which simply proves your high regard and obvious jealousy of the school. What happened? Failed the UPCATs? So immature. You are as intelligent and bright and magnificent... as a pile of rocks.

To the asshole UP dude, you have every right to brag. Exercise it. However, DO exercise control. Self- expression is inevitable, being a UP student, but have the empathy to feel what other schools might be thinking. Go ahead, say, "WTH. Who cares what others are thinking?" But before you say that, think. Competence isn't the onlt thing that'd matter in the real world. You've got the dumbass from UST's two other C's to think of.

Just some guy from somewhere in between. Obviously not Arrhneo OR La Salle.

In my opinion, the ranking of top performing schools does not matter. The schools were ranked based on different categories, and each category is for a specific range of number of examinees. If you will be asking math people, this ranking is not huge basis of an HEI's performance (e.g. We cannot say that SLU is the best pharmacy school (though its number 1) because there are less number of examinees compared with UST since 40+ examinees is a huge difference from 200+ takers. But always remember that percentage is a primary basis of checking up if a school teaches well.
What I'm trying to say is that be happy if your school got passing rate higher than the cut-off percentage. Better if your school is in the top performing ones. I think its nonsense to compete with other schools on what the best is.
Congratulations to all who passed the exam!

ouch, hahah school rivalry, good luck sa inyo sa mga sagutan niyo haha congratulations satin..

the problem with us Thomasians kulang tayo sa pride, mas gusto pa natin patahimikin ibang schools kesa maging proud.. iniisip natin kasi porket pinagkakalat natin magaling tayo mayabang na.. Thomasians tahimik, humility ang turo satin eh, mga taga-UP, they were thought that way diba? "WTH. Who cares what others are thinking?"

wala sa school yan, sa tao mismo

PEACE MEN.

NASA BUNDOK ANG KASAGUTAN

NAKASANGAYON DITO NA SLU ANG NUMBER 1.lol

naniniwala akong number 1 ang TATLONG SCHOOL:

UP UST at SLU

nung mga panahong magkakaiba ng category ang slu, up, at ust, PARE PAREHONG NUMBER 1 ANG KAPWA SCHOOL SA KANILANG CATEGORY. ngayun iisang category nalang (wrong move by PRC) kasi sobrang laki naman talaga ng difference ng less than 20, sa more than 50, at sa more than 150 examinees.

so peace! tama na to. Guys from UP and UST, punta kayo dito baguio and chill out! treat namin! lets be friends haha
