SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. The oath taking ceremony is chaired by Honor-able Leonila A. Faire, member of the Board of Nursing, Profes-sional Regulation Commission.
A total of 91,008 hope-ful graduates took the Nurse Licensure Examination and after 42 working days, the results were released by the Profes-sional Regulation Commission where 37, 679 or 41.40 % passed. Rayan Abogado Oliva of Ateneo De Naga topped the Examination with a rating of 86.80 %.
The Board of Nursing, in collaboration with the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) for logistical support, and the Association of Deans of Philip-pine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN) for program implemen-tation, worked together to ensure a meaningful and efficient con-duct of this Oath Taking Cere-mony. Sor Paz Marfori DC, a highly respected nurse luminary and recipient of the Most Out-standing Professional Nurse of the Year award given by the Professional Regulation Com-mission last June 2010 is the KEYNOTE SPEAKER to gener-ously inspire the new nurses. The PRC Chair Hon. Nicolas Lapeňa Jr., Commission-ers Hon. Nilo Rosas and Hon. Antonio Adirano will likewise be present to give their message and to add honor and prestige to the occasion. Signifi-cantly, the president of the ADPCN, Dr. Carmelita Divinagracia, will commit the successful new nurses to the public as they legally com-mence their practice of safe and quality nursing. During this occasion the new nurses will be inducted to the Philippine Nurses Association, the accredited professional associa-tion for nurses, by Dr. Teresita I. Barcelo, PNA national president.
The cream of the crop - the top three performing schools in each of the two categories: with 100 and more and 30 to 99 examinees, and the top ten examinees who garnered an average rating of 84.60% to 86.80%, shall be honored through the awarding of certificates of recognition.
